The Prayer Place

The Prayer Place located in the hospital district of Meridian serves as “Home base” for gatherings for prayer, study and fellowship.
It’s a gathering place for all Christians regardless of denominational or non-denominational backgrounds. We come together as the body of Christ to be used as vessels of His healing power and connection to others.
Individual and group prayer meetings are scheduled by appointment. Contact here.

What we Believe:

  • Together we believe:

  • Old and New Testaments to be the inspired Word of God, containing all things necessary for salvation, and to be the final authority and unchangeable standard for Christian faith and life
  • God, the Father Almighty is the creator of heaven and earth
  • There is only One God in three persons , Father , Son, and Holy Spirit
  • Jesus Christ is His only Son, our Lord. Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, the only begotten Son of God and the perfect revelation of the Father
  • In Jesus’ virgin birth, sinless life, sacrificial death, bodily resurrection, ascension to the Father, and triumphant return
  • As a result of the fall, everyone is in need of salvation from sin and eternal death. God graciously provided the only way to be reconciled to Him is through Jesus, who alone reconciles all who repent of their sin and put their faith in Him
  • ·The Holy Spirit, the third person in the one Being of the Holy Trinity, co-equal and co-eternal with God the Father and God the Son and equally worthy of our honor and worship (Luke 11:13; John 14:26; 16:7) Jesus Christ sent the Holy Spirit to make Jesus known to indwell and empower each believer in Christ. We stress the need for the Holy Spirit to be active in our lives in order that we might be used as vessels of His healing power
  • In one church, expressed through local bodies of God’s family, made up of all who are in Christ, and who together are to grow in Christlikeness and commissioned to make Christ-followers of all nations

We also Believe:

  • God is God. He can and does speak to and through His people today for the accomplishment of His will and purposes. He is our Great Physician and alone is our Healer. He is known to use His healing grace through medicine, counseling, as well as by miracles of healing through Jesus Chris

We Exclude:

  • – Anything that goes counter to establish Christian truth, as well as any kind of healing that relies upon a spiritual power other than that of Jesus Christ (e.g. spiritualism). It is our desire that through our service to God, He will draw participants closer to Him and His Holy Spirit.

Our Vision Includes:

  • Building Intercessor fellowships who will pray for others.
  • Building a network of neighborhood intercessors (as in Nehemiah, people stationed to stand guard in prayer for their families and their neighborhood)
  • Encouraging intercessors to have active Spiritual Friendships / “Walking Together” comrades (a group of 3 or 4 max) for mutual encouragement and accountability, helping to stay focused on growth and spiritual maturity.
